In what was building to be a great battle for the inaugural Continental Tyres Diggers Cup, 21 of the states best Sprintcar drivers were beaten by Mother Nature yet again at Morris Park Speedway in Dubbo on Saturday night.

Dubbo’s Morris Park Speedway will host the inaugural Continental Tyres Diggers Cup this Saturday night, officially marking the end of their summer speedway season. A huge field will converge on the venue with near to 100 cars across six different divisions; featuring twenty three V8 Sprintcars set to front the starting grid in what promises to be an electric night of thrills and spills.

Fans were treated to some hard and fast racing on Friday night in near perfect conditions when Morris Park Speedway hosted the seventh round of the New South Wales Super Sedan Series; novacastrian #2 Robert Carrig narrowly taking the win over Parkes based #63 Tony Barklimore with the veteran racer from Raymond Terrace #44 Bernie Roberts filling the final place on the podium.
